In response to increasing COVID-19 hospitalizations due to the highly contagious Delta variant, and to further protect vulnerable Californians and health care workers, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued two new state public health orders Aug. 5. This order builds on Governor Newsom’s recent announcement requiring state workers and workers in health care and high-risk congregate settings to demonstrate proof of full vaccination. The new order applies to workers in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities and most other health care settings. The second public health order directs hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and intermediate care facilities to verify that visitors are fully vaccinated or have tested negative for COVID-19 in the prior 72 hours. If you would like to schedule a visit with your loved one. Please contact Freddy (Activities Department) at 626-359-8141. He will give you all the information regarding visits.
